In March 2025, the Kumugwe Cultural Society brought together fluent Kwak̕wala speakers, dedicated teachers, and language supporters for Wiga’xa̱n’s Yaḵ̓a̱nt̕alape — a heartfelt weekend of connection, storytelling, and collective dreaming for the future generations of Kwak̕wala speakers.
